TTM Triumph #37: Bob Saverine

This most recent success from the former Orioles and Senators utility man, Bob Saverine, was one of my fastest returns at just six days:

Mr. Saverine is an almost guaranteed success, so for anyone interested, I would definitely recommend giving him a try.

As always, I would like send out a big thank you to Mr. Saverine.

Thanks for taking a moment to look at my page.

  1. I remember seeing him play for the Orioles. Not much of a hitter, he had a good glove. His biggest asset, for the O's, was his speed. Used several times as a pinch runner late in the game he could easily score from 1st on a hit deep enough to the OF. Nice guy, didn't do loads for the O's but got more chance to play down the B/W Parkway.

    1. While trying to find out what little I could about him before sending the request, I saw it mentioned a few times that his fielding abilities are what kept him in the bigs for the relatively short time that he was there.

It's always nice to hear memories/observations from people that got to see lot of the guys I target for requests, actually play.
